Patricia Ann Lewis
Patricia Ann Lewis was born and raised in Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada near Niagara Falls. As a child growing up in this region, she was afforded plenty of opportunity to experience nature in all its glory as she hiked and played along the Niagara Escarpment near her home. The wooded ravines and steep slopes of the escarpment made an excellent training ground for the young artist who would soon be creating drawings and paintings featuring the natural beauty of this area.
After high school, Pat Ann went to study animation at the now famous Sheridan College, where so many of today's most prominent animators have been trained. Here she studied illustration and was hired directly out of her final year to work at Nelvana ltd., an animation studio in Toronto. At Nelvana, Pat Ann worked as a storyboard artist and designer before leaving the company to pursue a freelance career with her husband, Larry MacDougall.
Patricia & Larry created Underhill Studios and have both worked in animation, assisting in creating video games and have worked in the children's literature markets. Patricia Ann's goal is to create her original stories and bring them to life through her writing and art.
Pat Ann is living once again in Stoney Creek with Larry and their various non-human companions.
