Gyula Pozsgay
Gyula Pozsgay (pronounced similar to "Jules") was born in 1973, in a Hungarian town called Tatabanya. His grandfather, an amateur painter, was his first teacher. He started to draw and paint before he was two years old. One of Gyula's hobbies has been astronomy since his childhood, so he has a special relationship to nature and natural science. He later studied architecture, a good mixture of art and engineering. In his university years he started to do some graphic work for amateur sci-fi and fantasy magazines, as well as photos for several customers.
After the university Gyula started to do graphic and design work for computer games. His best work was the off-road simulator Screamer 4x4 on PC. He did a lot of graphics and the drive train mathematics. Recently, he started to do sci-fi and fantasy work again for several publishers, as well as taking photos for clients, including National Geographic.
Gyula's favorite materials are natural mediums, like acrylics on canvas, but if many revisions are expected, he uses digital medium. He also has experience in oil and acrylic paintings, large scale paintings on walls for building exteriors and interiors, digital paintings and texture paintings for 3D applications as well as traditional and digital photography.
