Liiga Smilshkalne

Liiga Smilshkalne is a freelancing illustrator from Latvia, focusing mostly on fantasy, spiritual and surreal themes, with the odd modern or sci-fi piece thrown into the mix. She is fond of portraiture and creature design, and enjoys generating unusual and sometimes outright wacky ideas (werepears, anyone?). She enjoys executing every work in fine detail and vibrant colors.

Her favorite medium is digital, but she also has experience with the traditional mediums, such as acrylics and pastels.

Liiga has worked with many private customers, as well as companies such as Northeast Games, Discountdragon and developed promotional materials for an international student competition Peak Time.
